Space 5

Previously: Space 4

The pilot leaves the healer's place and heads to where the elder is. They pass by houses, market stalls and villagers until they reach the town hall; A large building constructed around one of the stone faces. It looks much older than the other ones. - Online Drawing Game Comic Strip Panel by SeanTrunks
The pilot enters the building and recognizes a familiar arrow. The community appears to have transformed the stone face into a shrine. A lonesome elder awaits the pilot in front of it's entry. - Online Drawing Game Comic Strip Panel by Mothbunita
The pilot had a discussion with the elder about the arrow that struck her down. He confirms that it was indeed made by one of them. He speculates that the pilot was a victim of a hunting accident perpetrated by one of their hunters. - Online Drawing Game Comic Strip Panel by SeanTrunks

Not sure about the exact time. Probably several hours. I leave my computer on sleep mode and come back later so I don't lose progress.

Yes. See those lettering on the last panel? That's the part where I started struggling. The PanelJam drawing tool is just isn't optimized for making super detailed drawings with many strokes. You can try like I did but progress is gonna slow down real hard.

The Isekai thing on the comment was a, admittedly cringy, joke about the fact that she is currently stuck in another world so to say, like an isekai protagonist. Apologies for the confusion.

That's a relief then. As for ideas; I was thinking about getting back on the lab plot thread from the previous parts. Something escaped from that place. Who or what it is and what's it capable of we don't know yet. Another one is if we get to meet the hunter that shot her. Will they become friends or enemies? Another one is her going around town getting new (but more premative) gear to replace the one she lost or finding where the rest of her suit went. Lastly we get to say goodbye to the AI as it runs out of batteries. These are some of the ideas in my head at the moment.

Just realized I spelled "primitive" as "premative". Whoopsies! 😅

Understandable. The 2nd half is still pretty good as it is. It's unfortunate that this issue is pretty much hard to avoid seeing as we have to draw in the letters for the dialogue boxes on top of drawing the panels themselves, increasing the stroke count by a substantial degree. Perhaps they if the characters talk less and acted more, "show, don't tell" style? Not sure how to go about that right now seeing as the story is in the middle of a conversation scene at the moment.

It shows. You've put much more on your panel this time around. It's quite impressive. You've managed to stay consistent with the rest of the comic while also retaining and adding your own style into the mix. I appreciate your efforts on contributing more to this series even if you didn't have to go this far. Thank you. ☺

Lol sorry if I screwed up your jam with my terrible art. Had a lot of fun participating though! <3

@Setin12 You had fun, that's what matters. A lot of the good users here are more concerned with the story rather than the art and you did very well on both counts. By good user, I mean those who put in effort, no matter their ability, not just some who like to be crude or derail when it isn't called for.

@Wizard Croissant Well thank you very much for the kind words, and I generally agree with that, but my art kinda feels lackluster sometimes, so I feel bad when the jam is crazy well drawn. So thanks. Appreciate it.

@Setin12 I usually don't comment but I had to come in and agree with Wizard, I enjoy this comic a lot and loved your panel, please always participate whenever you want to in everything! I really liked the term "cytospace" too!

@TFD Thanks. All of you people are really good so it makes me feel better you're not casting me out. Glad you liked the term Cytospace. The suffix cyto means cell, so roughly I was trying to mean cellspace, like an alternate cell or area from regular space.

I admit. I've overlooked this series until recently. Too wordy and detailed for me. I've never been brave enough to jump in but I'm glad to see others do it, sespecially when they add something to further the story.

@Kawaita Thanks. Yeah I know that, and I appreciate it. I just feel kinda artistically outclassed if you know what I mean, which I don't mind but it makes me worried about contributing to fancy jams XP But I digress. Thank you for the kind words and for being such an amazing artist.

@Setin12 I like the Cytospace concept that you've introduced into the story. It made the stone heads even more enigmatic than before. I don't think that your panel is as bad as you think it is. Your depiction of the protagonist is pretty cute and the detailed closeup shot of her eye as she goes into Cytospace is a pretty cool scene. Like what the others have said; Don't worry about "living up" to the other contributors' standards too much. As long as we're all enjoying drawing the comic and telling the story together that matters.

@Kawaita Of course. Thanks for joining and helping me keep this series going. Your panels were pretty great. I'm still having a lot of fun making these so another sequel is definitely coming. I'll let you know when the next part's up then.

@Seantrunks Ah, I'm really appreciate it and I'm glad you like it. Obviously I've thought your contributions are amazing as well. I tried to do my best. Just in these comments you've all been so supportive and awesome, it just warms my heart. I'm happy to be part of a community as awesome as all of you. Thanks so much!
