@Ender1872 I'm pretty sure Sasha wasn't using "trap" to antagonize trans people or whatever people you think would be offended by this. She's just making a joke about a cartoon character in a comic strip online. I think Delete's point is that if she isn't directly insulting you or your friends, you shouldn't insinuate that she's a bad or ignorant person. I know that you are probably coming from a good place, but you shouldn't introduce criticism where its not warranted. Just my 2 cents.

people use slurs all the time, theyre pretty fun to use. They hurt a lot of people, but i personally dont see that as a reason to stop using them.

I dont rly understand the translation of word "slur", but Karen is considered a slur for annoying ppl demanding managers, should we stop using that?

When I think 'Slur' I think about the obvious, super hurtful ones. :P Words like 'Karen' and 'boomer' aren't ones imo, but that's just me.

just because one person says its a slur doesnt automatically make it a slur. slur is a word used to offend a certain group that (usually) the members within the group have no control over whether they are in the group or not. (eg, african americans, gay ppl, trans ppl) karens are choosing to be in that group. i did not choose to be trans. black people did not choose to be black

oh geez,, @Ender1872 some people identify themselves as traps, it's an actual thing, therefor i don't see it antagonizing trans people at all (then again, i'm not trans, so i wouldn't know). Sometimes people use "slurs" for jokes, not meaning to hurt anyone. In my opinion, as long as they're not directly hurting anyone(making serious threats, things like that) people can say pretty much what they like, whether it be kind or offensive. Sashacakes was clearly not trying to target you or whoever else, it was just a joke. It's not offensive unless you make it offensive.

But dropping this sounds like a good idea, yeah? Nobody meant to hurt anyone, it was a simple joke. ^^ No hard feelings toward anyone <3

@wrecktangle it has been antagonizing trans ppl. ive been called a trap several times, and every time it was used to dehumanize me. and using slurs for jokes isnt a good idea, because people will take offence and give your a mouthful of their fist. im not bearing any hard feelings towards anyone, but i am saying that continuing to use trap and slurs in general isnt a good idea

Sasha was clearly not targeting you though, and was not meaning it in the way you were called. We understand that you might feel offended by this, but there's really nothing you can do. you can't really force people to apologize, so i don't know what you're really trying to get from this.

*changed topic* rn im listening to Everywhere At The End Of Time by The Caretaker, and its very interesting. as you go through the stages it gets more distorted and spookier. its supposed to represent dementia and how everything fades and you arent who you once were. its interestng, and i reccomend giving it a listen if you like spooky stuff

@Ender1872 i like songs like that, i might check it out later ^^ a song i think of when i read your comment is The Mind Electric by Miracle Musical, it has a few different interpretations. Some people think it's about someone being condemned to the electric chair, and some people think it's about someone going through electroshock therapy. Either way i think it's great song.

Currently a song i've been listening to is Dr. Sunshine is Dead by Will Wood. It's very rare that i'm attracted to rock music, but for some strange reason i really like this one.

But i listen to jack stauber and cavetown on the daily.
