The climate in the city would be classified as Subpolar Oceanic on Earth, with mild summers, cool winters and plenty of rainfall. Most of this world is considerably colder, with permanent ice cap climate reaching the mid latitudes; the coldest temperature recorded was -180°C near the North Pole.
Most of the time, the sky shows a dark blue tone because of a thick fog found in the upper layers of the atmosphere. On a truly sunny day, the sky is bright pink.
Many of the skyscrapers were hastily built, originally as temporary housing for the hundreds of thousands of pioneers who landed in this planet after a long trip in suspended animation. Surrounding the city there are several rings of greenhouses where food is produced.
